WOAH

The second I heard those chords, I was like: what VST? Where's the tremelo from?? HOW?????

And really, where did you get the Tremelo? It sounds godly!

The entire track is mixed quite well with really nice arrangement.

The reason this track is 9/10 and not 10/10 is because the drums a little too simple for the rest of the song, or for a DnB track. Also, there is not too much ear candy, but I think it's fine because the arrangement makes up for it. Overall, great track!

N0B4nn responds:

Yes, dnb isn't the biggest genre I make, so it was a little difficult to produce for me.
(For the chords)
VST: Nexus 4
Tremolo: (updated) I slapped on some Kickstart and set the shape to the weird two-peak one, the far bottom right shape, and turned the speed up to 1/8. It sounded very nice with the original speed, and the slowed down version still fit with how I wanted it to sound.

Super nice beat, what VST/midi/sample did you use Hikari?? It's really nice..

Vocals are nice and confident, but not mixed..? Is that intentional..?

Hikari responds:

Early Summers Ryo Fukui. Bass is Sytrus (FL Studio) and the drums are sampled from the same album as the piano cut.

TheTechnoBabble responds:

I reuploded a new version where I mixed the vocals and in my opinion sounds ALOT better

Ok, you NEED to tell me what VST/One-shot/Midi or whatever you used for the chords and main melody! I am addicted!

The drums are very gritty, sounds sort of like the vintage drums from Spitfire Audio's LABS.

Arrangement is simple, but I think it's a smart choice as it puts the spotlight on the ear candy and FX/Ambience. (which goes hard by the way.)

I love the style, you earned yourself a follow!

EDIT: Omnisphere? How did you afford that? Especially with the hardware? Lol I don't have any paid plugins..

Hi @oChron1cTQ

BPM of the song is 95, scale is D minor, and the chord progression goes:
D min - Csus4 - Bb maj - Asus4 -

Background melody -- Roli Studio - Mellotape Strings, played using a Seaboard RISE 2;
no quantization.
Synth main melody -- Omnisphere 2 - Big additive Keys 1, played using a computer keyboard;
no quantization.
The Fluggelhorn main melody is by @sorohanro

The chords and bass are built from the chord progression - D min - Csus4 - Bb maj - Asus4 -

Chords:
Omnisphere 2 -- Choirwerk 3
Omnisphere 2 -- Mellotron Cello
Omnisphere 2 -- Smoked Lep Steel Harmonics

Bass:
Omnisphere 2 -- SYT1 - Covert Op

Drums:
Ableton Live 12 -- Ableton Pack Breakbeats by KutMasta Kurt - Uprockable Kit

Yes! Absolutely! Spitfire Audio's LABS are super awesome!

Thank you so much!

What VST did you use for this??? I love the Rhodes/chords.

The drums are very chill, although the hats seem a bit too harsh.. or too loud. I can't really tell.

The ambience you have is also nice, same for the vocals.

9/10

Bunchie responds:

Thank you so much, I will update the hats. I used Jun-6 by Arturia for the chords, and a bit of S.K.Y Keys by Sky Studios.
